Antiqua

Antiqua in use

Antiqua has a traditional serif structure with clear stroke contrast and familiar lowercase proportions. It is worth trying for a restrained heading or a short reading passage where a steady rhythm is useful. Compare the longest required line and include real punctuation in the test. At small sizes, inspect the finer serifs and enclosed spaces before deciding on line spacing or extending the style across a full page.
