Lucida Calligraphy Italic

Lucida Calligraphy Italic in use

Lucida Calligraphy Italic has broad, pen-shaped strokes, a steady forward slope and open lowercase forms. The capitals introduce long, graceful curves without turning every word into a dense ornamental knot. It is well suited to testing for an invitation heading, a short quotation or a formal personal note. Leave some vertical room for the ascenders and descenders, and avoid overly tight letter spacing. The stroke contrast benefits from checking the actual print or screen size, particularly on a textured background.
